Getting a seat at Uni Toronto can be competitive for Indian students. The University of Toronto acceptance rate for Indian students is 74.5%. Strong scores are required in the Class 12th board exams or the UG degree and active participation in extracurriculars.

Since getting into IIMs is for a class which has millions of students, the average student is probably a 6 pointer. Well, 15% of IIM Calcutta Batch of 2019 are 6 pointers or worse. So, yes, IIM Calcutta has a lot of average students considering only academics. But, an average student cannot make it to IIM Calcutta.

Hi Dawood, from a commerce background, you can check courses in accounts or finance. But the final choice is yours and if you have other interests you are free to choose the field. Scope, well it can be researched on once you know what you want to study.
