Getting a score of 5.5 on the IELTS exam is considered as an avergae score, however to get admission in the  Lincoln University in the USA, it might not be enough to meet the admission requirements. The university needs a minimum IELTS overall band score of 5.5 for admission to BA and BS programs.

Apart from IELTS, the other requirements are as follows -

• Min. GPA of 2.75
• A strong academic profile

As per student reviews, to be able to secure an admission in US universities, an IELTS score of 5.5 will not be sufficient. The minimum IELTS score required for a US student visa is 6.5. However, there may be some universities that accept scores between 5.5 and 6.5. You will need to research for that.

1. International Student Merit Scholarship:

   • This scholarship is meant for new students starting at the university.
   • A student requires at least a 3.30 GPA and a minimum SAT score of 1020 or ACT score of 20 to qualify for this scholarship.

2. International Scholars Scholarship:

   • The International Scholars Scholarship is given out yearly to 10 new students.
   • Requires an SAT score of 1000 or higher and a high school GPA of 3.3 or higher.
   • This schoplarship covers all tuition and fees.

3. Undergraduate Scholarships:

   • A student needs a GPA of 3.0 or higher and complete 27 credit hours in each academic year.
   • Scholarships are either $3250 per semester or $2000 per semester.

To get into Lincoln University, you also need to:

• Have a solid academic record from prior schools.
• Complete 12 semester hours or more that are transferable.
• Finish & submit the complete application.
• Share your transcripts from your high school
• Share your SAT and ACT results.
