Dayanand Anglo Vedic Post Graduate College (D. A. V. PG) College Dehradun is a government-aided college in the city of Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. The year 1892 witnessed the transfer of an Arya Samaj evening school from Meerut to the valley of Dehradun. That sapling grew and developed into the D. A. V. School. Gradually growing, extending its branch, it became Dayanand Anglo Vedic Post Graduate College, Dehradun in 1948 with the help of people like Thakur Puran Singh Negi, who donated his entire immovable property to this educational institution. It was nurtured well on the principles laid down by Swami Dayanand and was also influenced by the Anglo-Edwardsian System. It has now emerged as one of the most prestigious premier institutions in Northern India after independence and is the biggest college in Uttarakhand State, having all the five faculty members viz. , ARTS, Science, COMMERCE, B.Ed. & LAW, comprising twenty-one disciplines. It is one of the oldest and the largest academic institutions in North India. The mission of the college is to impart quality education to its students and to make them qualified, committed, and compensated individuals. D. A. V. (P. G. ) College, Dehradun has the mission to expose its students to the latest information at the national and international levels so that they are aware of national and global developments in their relevant academic fields.
