Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that. According to me, VIT-Vellore is better option for CSE. The placement for branches like CSE, IT, ECE and EEE are fairly nice. People end up getting super dream packages worth more than INR 15Lacs per annum. Placement statistics for branches like Civil, Mechanical, and Biotech aren't as great as the other above mentioned branches. But, overall the college promises 100% placement. The highest package for our seniors this time was from CSE worth INR 24 Lacs per annum
