Yes, lateral entry is possible in VIT. Only thing that you have to arrange is piles of money. These seats where they take admission on donations are many.

VIT is better then KLU in biotechnology engineering. The average package of biotech is 5 lpa in VIT Vellore and the average package of biotech in KLU is about 3-4 lpa
And the rank of VIT Vellore for biotechnology among all India engineering college is 8th position and KLU not stands in top 10. So VIT Vellore is better

It's definitely, VIT Vellore which is better then LNMIIT or UPES Dehradun as the average package in CS is 10 to 11 Lacs and last year 2 students got 1.02 crores of package and companies that takes students are Microsoft and JP morgan.

The admission in vit is not based on your 12th CBSE percentage it's based on the entrance exam taken by the VIT which is VITEEE. You have to fill the application form from vit official website.

You have to go and check on the application form you have filled for the VITEEE exam or you also got an email or SMS where your application no. Is written.

You can apply but not for VIT Vellore you will not get any branch in vit Vellore but you may get chemical or mechanical in vit Andra Pradesh or in VIT Bhopal.

You may get mechanical core in 1 category but that's not sure but if not in 1 then definitely you will get it in category 2 In VIT Vellore, you can get it in category 1 in VIT Chennai.
