The difficulty level of VSAT exam is considered easy to moderate level. It is same as to school board exams or entry-level engineering entrance exams like COMEDK or SRMJEEE. The level of questions are based mainly on NCERT topics, hence, if candidates are preparing for the exam by referrring to the NCERT books, they have an upper edge over the competition.

In the VSAT exam, the question paper format is objective type (MCQs) in nature The questions test conceptual understanding and application-based knowledge. There is no negative marking in the exam.

As per the official exam pattern of VSAT, the question paperwill consists of 120 questions which will be in multiple-choice format. Out of the 120 questions, 30 will be from Physics, 30 from Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and English or Aptitude. There is no negative marking in the VSAT exam.

No, as per the VSAT exam pattern there are no questions from topics such as logical reasoning, verbal ability, and basic analytical. Candidates will now find questions from the English/Aptitude section. They will find questions from PCM / PCB.

As per the offical exam pattern of VSAT, generally, each subject be it Maths/Biology, Physics, Chemistry, carries equal weightage, with around 30 questions per subject. However, there is no mandatory rule to attempt all the questions.

The Chemistry portion of the VSAT syllabus is based on subjects - Physical Chemistry (like Mole Concept, Thermodynamics), Organic Chemistry (Hydrocarbons, Alcohols), and Inorganic Chemistry (Periodic Table, Chemical Bonding). Candidates prepare for the VSAT exam, must refer to these topics while studying Chemistry.
