The VSAT counselling is a process thorugh which candidates are shortlisted for the courses. During the counselling process, candidates are alloted courses based on their rank of merit.

Does the VSAT results affect scholarship eligibility?

Yes, students with top ranks in VSAT are eligible for merit-based scholarships. As per the scholarships students can avail upto 100% fee waivers. However, the eligibility criteira, requirements vary for which candidates will have to reach out to the exam body officials. The university publishes the scholarship structure along with the results.

Can I appear in the counselling, if I have got admission through JEE/EAMCET?

Yes, if you got admission through JEE/EAMCET, you can still appear for VSAT counselling, provided they have qualified in VSAT exam and hold a good rank. However, before finalising college, you must compare the college based on the fees, facilities and faculties.

What types of questions are asked in the VSAT exam?

In the VSAT exam, the question paper format is objective type (MCQs) in nature The questions test conceptual understanding and application-based knowledge. There is no negative marking in the exam.

From where can I find previous year VSAT question papers?

Candidates can find previous year papers and sample papers on shiksha.com. We have provided direct link for candidates to download the past year question papers. Students can also refer to some of the coaching institutes which provide sample papers.

What is qualifying mark for the VSAT?

The qualifying mark vary each year based on difficulty level and number of applicants. In VSAT, however, there is no fixed cut-off, but candidates must score competitively to qualify.

How difficult is the VSAT syllabus?

VSAT is easy to moderate level. It is based on 10+2 level, however questions are easy to solve and if students have prepared well, they can qualify easily.

What subjects are covered in the VSAT syllabus?

VSAT syllabus is based on Maths or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English/Aptitude. Candidates opting for B.Tech should prepare for PCM + English; those opting for agriculture can choose PCB + English.

Overview

VSAT 2026: The exam conducting, Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University), is expected to release the notification soon. Along with the notification, it will also release the VSAT application form 2026. Candidates meeting minimum eligibility criteria will be able to apply from: vignan.ac.in/newvignan. The details of VSAT 2026 eligibility criteria will be mentioned in the official notification. Candidates can apply online using direct link provided on this page as and when it is released. While filling out the VSAT application form 2026, they will have to select the exam date.

Admission to B.Tech courses will be offered based on ranks in JEE Main/Advanced. Candidates have to provide details of their mode of admission/registration, including exams appearing at the time of registration for admission. What is VSAT?

VSAT stands for Vignan's Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is conducted once a year to shortlist candidates for admission into B.Tech/B.Pharmacy at Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology, and Research (Deemed to be University).

The institute offers admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs based on the VSAT exam. The university also offers a combined course of BTech and Civil Services (IAS, IPS, etc.).

VSAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria before applying for VSAT 2026. The eligibility criteria for the North Indian States and the South Indian States vary from each other. Candidates qualified in V-SAT / AP EAMCET or TS EAMCET / JEE Main / JEE Advanced can apply if they have obtained the minimum required CGPA/Percentage. Check the VSAT educational qualification, age limit, and other details below.

Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2005.
Candidates must have obtained a 7.0 CGPA if studied in Andhra Pradesh or above 60% aggregate marks in Telangana and the other South Indian States or 50% aggregate marks if studied in North, North East, and other states.
Candidates qualified V-SAT / AP or TS EAMCET / JEE Mains / JEE Advanced and obtained the minimum marks in Class 12 as mentioned in the second point can also apply.
For BTech/BPharmacy programs, attempt Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English/Aptitude.
For BTech Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Food Technology & BPharmacy programs, attempt Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English/Aptitude.

VSAT 2026 Application Form

The application form for VSAT 2026 will be available on the official website. Candidates will be able to fill the VSAT 2026 application form in both online and offline modes. The online application form will be able to filled from the website vignan.ac.in while the offline application form can be purchased from the institute. Candidates can fill the application form in any medium at their convenience. To purchase the offline application form, candidates need to visit the institute office or an Indian bank branch. Candidates have to fill the application form within the specified dates to appear in VSAT 2026 entrance exam.

Candidates can also submit the form with DD by post to the institute address so as to reach within the specified dates. The direct link to fill VSAT 2026 application form is provided on this page. For candidates who submit the application form, the online generated Hall ticket is sent to email ID of students which they upload while filling application form.

VSAT 2026 Syllabus

The V-SAT 2026 exam will consist of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, and General Aptitude. VSAT 2026 Exam Pattern

Candidates must know the exam pattern beforehand to know how and what type of questions will be asked in the exam. As of now, the VSAT 2026 dates have yet to be out. Candidates can refer to the VSAT exam pattern for reference. The test is conducted in computer-based online mode. There will be a total of 4 sections with 30 questions each. Candidates will have to complete the paper within 120 minutes. There is NO negative marking for answering the incorrect answer.

VSAT 2026 Admit Card

Candidates who submit the application form within specified dates are issued VSAT admit cards to appear in the exam. Admit cards are sent to candidates in their email IDs. Details about the exam date, time, address of the exam center, and candidate's basic details like name, photo, signature, and paper for which appearing will be mentioned in the VSAT admit card 2026. Candidates have to download the admit card and take its printout. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination without an admit card of VSAT 2026. Candidates have to keep their VSAT 2026 admit card until admission the process is successfully conducted

VSAT 2026 Result

The Vignan University will declare the VSAT result 2026 on the official website. Candidates have to check their VSAT 2026 result by simply submitting their application number and date of birth on the official website. Details about candidates' scores in the exam and the All India Rank will be mentioned in the VSAT result. Candidates who will be declared qualified as per the VSAT result will be eligible to participate in the counselling process for admission.

VSAT 2026 Counselling

The Vignan University will conduct VSAT 2026 counselling in May. VSAT counselling will be held online. Candidates have to register to participate in the VSAT counselling 2026. Only those candidates who qualify for the written examination will receive the counselling call letters. The allotment of seats will be based on the All India Rank obtained by the candidates in VSAT 2026.
