The college is accredited by the NBA, approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and affiliated with WBUT (West Bengal University of Technology). However, according to recent reviews NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management Kolkata ( out of 5 ) 4.7 for placements, 4.8 for infrastructure and campus crowd, 5 for faculty and 4.7 for placements, which are better than NIP. NSHM Institute of Hotel & Tourism Management Kolkata is graded "B" by NAAC.
