Calcutta University MBA Courses & Fees 2026: Eligibility, Admission, Seats & Scholarships

MBA in Calcutta University is offered in three different specialisations, namely MBA Core, MBA Human Resource Development and MBA Financial Management. The duration of the course is two-years. Calcutta University MBA is offered in dual specialisation and students have an option to leave after one year with a Diploma from CU Kolkata. • Specialisations: The university is currently offering the MBA course in three domains, MBA Core with dual specialization, MBA Human Resource Development and MBA Financial Management.
• Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to the management course must meet the Calcutta University MBA eligibility criteria where they must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognised university.
• Admission: CU Kolkata MBA admission is based on percentile obtained by candidates in a recognised National level entrance test. For admission to the MBA and MBA HRD, candidates can apply through CAT/ MAT/ XMAT/JEMAT scores while MBA FM, the university accepts only the scores of CAT/MAT. Once candidates achieve a minimum score of 50% or 50 percentile in the entrance test, they must appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
• Cutoffs: According to the Calcutta University website, Calcutta University MBA cutoff is a score of 50% or 50 percentile in the entrance test to become eligible to appear for the GDPI process. However, the final cutoff may vary every year. Check: CU Kolkata cutoffs
• Fees: Calcutta University MBA fees for the entire duration of the two-year programme ranges from INR 2.46 Lakh (Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration) to INR 8.3 Lakh (Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management). Out of the total fee, the tuition fee of the course ranges between INR 1.9 Lakh and INR 7.64 Lakh. The one-time payment component varies from INR 44000 to INR 54000. • Seats: Calcutta University MBA seat intake is 463 across three institutes offering the course. CU Kolkata MBA seat reservation policy is as per the Government of West Bengal and university’s norms. 7% seats are reserved for 66 community of the OBC NCL category and 50% seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category candidates.
• Scholarships: Calcutta University offers numerous scholarships to MBA students. Some of the Kolkata University MBA scholarships are K3 scholarship, Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means scholarship, AIKYASHREE scholarship and OASIS scholarship.
