No, prior work experience is always an advantage for students pursuing an MBA or PGDM at PIBM, as it helps in grasping the tools and techniques taught during the curriculum. Some of my friends at PIBM have experience of the corporate world, which helped them during their internships as they were able to adapt to the organisational work environment. Internships, trainings, and apprenticeships are not considered as valid work experience for consideration in MBA admission at NMIMS. The criteria for valid work experience is given as follows:
- Work experience after the completion of graduation.
- Work experience of more than one year.
- Work experience in a company that is listed in both GSTIN and TAN databses.

IIBS Bangalore accepts applications of candidates who have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate. It is not compulsory to have work experience. However, additional weightage is given to applicants with work experience.

For sponsored or full-time working candidates for NIT Srinagar PhD admissions, it is mandatory to have a work experience of two years with their current employer to be eligible for PhD admissions.
However, candidates from other categories do not have such eligibility requirements for NIT Srinagar PhD admissions.

Only the candidates who are applying under the employed category are required to present work experience during IIT Patna PhD admissions. However, there is no requirement of work experience in the other categories of PhD courses offered by IIT Patna.
