Best countries to live and work for Indians in 2026 are determined by economic and geopolitical stability and the bilateral ties of these countries with India. Traditionally preferred countries like Canada and Australia continue to hold their positions. The USA and the UK on the other hand, pose threat for Indians as visa issuance and retention is a big challenge now. Both these countries aim for reduced net migration; thus they have introduced tighter visa guidelines. Resultingly, top countries to live and work for Indians in 2026 are China, Germany, Ireland and UAE.

As per the current geopolitical scenarios, major countries like the UK, Canada and Australia have introduced strict visa guidelines for international students in order to promote skilled migration only. This drastic change arised from the scarcity of jobs and living spaces for the existing international crowds in these countries, Canada to be specific.
