Yes, the BTech in CSE eligibility criteria differ for the reserved category candidates at the University of Calcutta. The eligibility criteria for Category-1 and Category-2 candidates are different. Category-1 candidates must have passed Class XII Examinations in the system of 10+2 under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent Board/Council with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics securing an average of at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in these subjects and allotted by West Bengal JEE Board. Category-2 candidates will be considered through JELET with 4-year B.Sc. Honours/ 3-year B.Sc. or equivalent with the subjects as specified. Additionally, the admission matrix for Categories-1, 2, and 3 is given in TABLE-2, which outlines the admission process for each category.

The eligibility criteria include passing 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognised board with at least 45% marks in best four subjects for general candidates and 40% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The entrance test is held, and the overall merit list and category-wise seat capacity are published. E-counselling is conducted in phases, and online admission slips are downloaded after each phase. Admission is based on the merit of the entrance test and college preference.

2. Have obtained at least 45% marks in best four subjects (excluding Environmental Studies of WBCHSE) for General candidates, and at least 40% marks for SC/ST/Person with Disability (Disability 40% or more).
3. Candidates passed 10+2 from a Board other than WBCHSE, ISC, CBSE, Rabindra Mukto Vidyalay, and NIOS must obtain an "EQUIVALANCE CERTIFICATE" from the office of the Registrar, University of Calcutta.
4. Foreign students with a last qualifying eligibility degree from a Foreign Board must apply in writing to the undersigned, mentioning all previous degrees, mark sheets, certificates, and syllabus of the last qualifying examination eligibility degree.
