My good experience at my college
Placements: There are only 21 students in our batch. There is no highest or lowest package, fees faculty of course is normal. Still I don't have any idea about recruiting company. We all students got offered for internship program from Cry and Webel. There are internship programs which gives us certificate and experience.
Infrastructure: There are lot of facilities, like infrastructure is much better than other colleges. Our professor's teaching method is good. We have our own wifi connection, we have ac classrooms, we have three big libraries. There are lot of books in it. We have three canteens, also we have a mini Nescafe outlet.
Faculty: Our professors are very helpful, qualified and also knowledgeable. Their teaching quality can pursue the student's knowledge. I don't think so that literature subject make a student industry ready. We are the new syllabus students that's why we have too tough syllabus in first and second semester. We have to study seven subjects. And each subject is not easy as seem. Pass percentage is thirty percent.
Other: I'm a anonymous writer and I love this subject that's why I chose this as my course. Teaching methods of my professors are good. Job placements need to be there after the course. There are lot of events in our campus, but the main three events. The most famous is kaliedoscope which is conducted on December, we have lot of fun in this event.

B.Sc. (Hons.) in Botany - Batch of 2023
Offered by Surendranath College
4.4
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
One of the best college under the University of Calcutta having an absolutely great faculty.
Placements: 40% of the students got placements from this college with an average salary offer of 2.5 lacs per annum. The lowest package offered is 1 lac per annum and the highest package offered is 2.5 lacs per annum. Roles of assistant researcher is offered in this course. Many of the students get admission in Masters degree having high merit.
Infrastructure: Well equipped laboratories are provided for doing practicals with safety measures. All the staff members are very friendly and cooperative. The classrooms are fully AC and under CCTV surveillance. There is a Library on the first floor and a large auditorium where every function and seminar is held. A common room is available for playing games.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful and provide all the possible help to the students regarding studies and extra curricular activities. The teaching and non teaching staff is very friendly and cooperative in nature. The semester exams are pretty difficult compared to the other Universities. The checking pattern is also different.

Offered by Heritage Law College

The college is quite good, but there is always a scope for improvement, which can benefit all of us.
Placements: Heritage Law College does not offer direct placements, but they help us to connect with various law firms through internships and visits. It is actually quite helpful because through this we can actually get to know the fact that in every place the situation will be different and we should learn to handle that.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. We also get access to Wi-Fi and internet, tha classrooms are also mostly clean. The good thing is that we also get proper access to the library, which is very important for the law students. The hostels can be made much better same goes for the food, but we get much access to sport and games.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is not that appreciable. The teachers don't seem very much active in their teaching, it can be improvise, though we get 5-6 lectures in a week regarding our course. But the exams are quite good, the questions asked are quite relevant and practical based, which is a good thing.

Value for money and time efficient.
Placements: Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Tata Consultancy, EY, etc., offer campus placements. The highest package was 7 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package is 4-5 LPA. Almost 60-65% of students get recruited from campus placements, with accountant roles provided.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good for a West Bengal government college. It is the best government college. There is a canteen and common rooms with a games arena. A lift facility is also provided. Digital classrooms, computer labs, and a well-equipped library are available.
Faculty: The teachers are pretty supportive. Most of them are really good at what they do. The course curriculum is very relevant, and the students become industry-ready by the end of the course. The semester exams are easy to crack, with a passing percentage of 95%.
Other: For commerce students pursuing graduation, this is one of the best courses. It is very easy to finish the course with just a little effort, which provides you with time to devote toward professional courses. The college organizes a variety of events and fests and provides various scholarship programs. Overall, the campus life is pretty average.

M.Sc. in Chemistry - Batch of 2024
Offered by Scottish Church College
1.6
1Placements2Infrastructure1Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Scottish through the eyes of someone real!
Placements: There were 38 students in our course at the end of semester. Although there were much more at the beginning. The highest package offered in our course was 280000, the lowest was 36000 and average 60000. All per annum. Sorry to say but even though the companies offered to us were pretty lame, none were recruited ever. No student got any internship ever. The one and only role offered to us in our course was a chemist.
Infrastructure: There was wifi but no student could access it. It was only for the faculties. Same is for the computers. The labs were pretty old. It was all show-off. The chemicals were too old, the instruments were broken, fridge not working. Classrooms had air conditioners but only for show. Turning the AC on used to make the rooms hotter than outside. The library was huge but none of the important books were there. All an all, it was all a bid Charade. The food quality was worst everywhere. Like in the mess, canteen everywhere. They were pretty bland and sort of too runny. The medical facilities only had Dettol and cotton. No bandage or any burning cream or whatever. There was no place for any sports or game. Only the annual sports.
Faculty: Only two of the faculty members were truly helpful and qualified to be a professor. But others knew nothing and very unhelpful. Yes the course curriculum indeed is relevant. This is perfect for industry training. The semester exams in this college is pretty difficult. The pass percentage is very weak like only 7%.
Other: I chose this course to be industry ready. If you complete the course and then start looking for jobs in the industry, there's a good chance you'll get them. I wish that there was instrumental knowledge practices was included too. Like knowing the instruments we're using. Knowing all the hardwares and all. So if one is damaged there's no need to call the technician. There was no fest or campus crowd or connectivity being a missionary college and all. But the Christmas was celebrated grandly. There was a scholarship opportunity for the poor students. But there was no extra curricular activities.
