Hi Shivani, After class 12, you can join IIScs undergraduate programme. Although programme does not require you to choose a subject such as genetic engineering when you join, the curriculum allows you to pick areas of your interest to study after 3 semesters of introductory courses in Science and engineering. At the end of 8 semesters you will be awarded a B.Sc. (research) degree upon successful completion of all requirements. There is also the option of continuing for two more semesters and graduating with an MS. The various modes of entry into IISc UG include, KVPY, (IIT)JEE-Main, (IIT)JEE-Advanced and NEET UG. The cut off ranks through each of these streams are different and are announced in the official webpage: http://www.iisc.ernet.in/ug/

Hello Sandeep,
If you want to take admission into any IITs, then only you have to give JEE Advanced. Otherwise, skip it, its absolutely fine.

It depends on the results of JEE Advanced. In order to get admission in IISC, you must score AIR rank under 50 and in IITs. It must be under 5000.

They take into the consideration the marks of both of the exams one at a time. You have to qualify their criteria in either of these exams.

Get your caste certificate first from the Legal Authorities. Then only go for Admission process. Otherwise you will miss out a good college due to the cut-off and also have to pay huge fees.
