You need to apply separately to IISC. So IISC application opens in Feb-march. And JEST also happens in the same time. You fill the application of IISC and put that your JEST result is pending. Then in April when your JEST result comes. You need to edit your application and put your JEST rank. If your JEST rank is good. They will call you for an interview. After JEST not just in IISC. Everywhere like IISERS etc. You need to apply at each Institute separately.

Yes, IISC doesn't SEE from where you have done your BE. There are many students who are in IISC and they did their undergraduate from very small colleges. All you need is a good GATE exam rank. GATE exam you can give in the third or fourth year of BE. If you have a good score. IISC will call you for an interview and they will give you seat if you do well in the Interview.

And Ph.D. and than leave iisc after 6-7 years. In this you will get 16000rs per month in M.Sc. And 31000rs per month in Ph.D. Second is you do M.Sc. From somewhere else. Than you can give three exams GATE CSIR NET and JEST. Qualify any one of these with top rank. Under 100. Than you will get Interview call. And you will be selected as Ph.D. student in IISc. 2. Your supervisor approves your work and thinks you have done enough progress work.
3. You need to present your work in department in front of teachers

2. Your supervisor approves your work and thinks you have done enough progress work.
3. You need to present your work in department in front of teachers
4. Than you need to write thesis and submit it to the iisc.
5. Than they will review your thesis. They may ask you to correct somethings in thesis. Than you need to modify it and again send them for review
6. Once the thesis review is done. You need to defend your thesis in front of iisc teachers. If your review is done than defense will be passed easily. After this they will reward you Ph.D. degree.
