You can take admission in iisc Bangalore in many courses. Course 1: after class 12: integrated bs-research
This course is of 4 years and you study pcm in the beginning and in later stage you specialise in any one of them. You get admission through JEE Mains/JEE Advanced/NEET
If you qualify any of this exam and you have top rank. You will get admission here. Every year cut off is different but you need top ranks. Course 2: integrated Ph.D. after B.Sc. In this course you get admission in combined M.Sc. And Ph.D. course. After 6 years you will get M.Sc. And Ph.D. both. Admission is through IIT JAM exam and an interview. Course 3 Ph.D. after M.Sc. Or B.Tech
In this course you do a Ph.D. Admission is through net/GATE/jest exam and an interview.

You need following things
1. Atleast one or two research papers published in PhD
2. Your supervisor approves your work and thinks you have done enough progress work.
3. You need to present your work in department in front of teachers
4. Than you need to write thesis and submit it to the iisc.
5. Than they will review your thesis. They may ask you to correct somethings in thesis. Than you need to modify it and again send them for review
6. Once the thesis review is done. You need to defend your thesis in front of iisc teachers. If your review is done than defense will be passed easily. After this they will reward you Ph.D. degree.

You can become astronaut by joining iisc. People go to space either as an engineer if it is very important to send engineer in space. You don't gi to space because you studied astrophysics. Iisc or any other Institute can't make you astronaut. But if you love space. Study astrophysics in iisc, Aries, iist, iucaa. You need to give exams like GATE and JEST. Than they will take interview. You will join as Ph.D. or integrated Ph.D. student or M.Tech student. You will study space by staying on earth with top most instruments.

Is of four years duration then you are eligible to appear for GATE which is the entrance exam for admission into PG in engineering in different branches. Do not worry. Even after B.Sc. Research, you can appear for campus selection in your institution. My sincere advise would be to continue your study in Science stream by doing PG and then doctorate. Yes, you can. The aptitude test has four sections Physics Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. You can clear the aptitude test if you answer only PCB. But seeing that all four sections are counted in the score, your marks will be affected if you do not attempt the Mathematics section. Hence, to get selected, you will have to do very good in the P, C and B sections. I know few people who got selected after answering only PCM, so it isn't that difficult. Hope it helps.
