2. Stream 2: 30% of the intake is for students who have completed X and XII in schools outside Tamil Nadu, and admission is based on their normalized aggregate +2 or its equivalent marks.
Additionally, 50% of the intake is offered to those who complete X and XII in schools within Tamil Nadu (Puducherry included).

The B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering eligibility criteria for reserved category candidates at SASTRA University differ in terms of relaxation in the aggregate percentage of marks in the +2 examination.
Reserved category candidates require a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Computer Science / Biology, obtained in a single sitting, whereas the general category candidates require a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
Additionally, the candidates should not have completed 19 years as on 1st July of the admission year.
Students with Diploma in Engineering/Technology are also eligible for direct admission to the second year of the relevant B.Tech Programme.
Reserved category candidates require a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Computer Science / Biology, obtained in a single sitting, whereas the general category candidates require a minimum aggregate of 60% marks.
Additionally, the candidates should not have completed 19 years as on 1st July of the admission year.
