SRM is one of the finest universities in Chennai.As they are kind and will help you whenever they want. Overall academics are good. Placement is as good as you think. I would suggest Chandigarh University as this university is ranked among the top 7 private universities in India. The university is doing really in terms of placements. I will not suggest SRM due to the heavy fee burden on your parents. It is almost 30 Lacs with a hostel fee. You will not be able to pay with the placement that is given. Please see some of the Anna University colleges. They may not be great, but they cost you 1/10 of what SRM will give. The faculty are the same in all colleges as they are from Anna University or affiliated colleges.

VIT Andhra Pradesh is a better option based on placements VIT is in the first place than SRM. So, VIT Andhra Pradesh is better than SRM Andhra Pradesh. The faculty at VIT Andhra Pradesh is really good and each teacher has a great profile. They use modernized teaching and also encourage more practical learning. VIT-Andhra Pradesh is a great place to study in terms of infrastructure curriculum and faculty members. The placements are also great.
