Faculty depends. Good placements before. Now high, good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: I heard many people actually get placements, but this time, there are around 30,000 people in the engineering department alone. So, it might be tough, but specifically in my course, the number is smaller, so I might have a chance. Top roles are cybersecurity analyst, digital forensic analyst, cybersecurity engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The structure is really good. Only the weather is a problem. It's becoming exhausting. The Wi-Fi actually fluctuates a lot, except in specific places like the architecture block and library. I have heard that the mess food is bad, but compared to my PG, it's good. They get snacks like pani puri, gulab jamun, etc., and a good variety of food, but one shouldn't consistently have mess food. Sports-wise, there is everything here.
Faculty: It really depends on which semester. The faculty is helpful, but we might have to use our own resources and seek help from the side. The semester exams, I heard, are going to be tough. My first one is in two weeks. The course curriculum is not relevant, but I think it's because it's the first semester. They are teaching me biology and all, Welding, fitting, and all, idk, for job security.

Good college with modern infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Over 90 percent of students got placement from this course. The packages were very high for CSE students, like 22 LPA, and the average was 6 LPA in 2025. Recruiting companies were Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, IBM, etc. Top roles offered were like full-stack developer, web developer, and data analyst.
Infrastructure: The campus was big with a clean environment. Classrooms were decent, and all the computer labs were equipped with all facilities. Hostel facilities were good and modern, the mess food had several options with decent taste. Medical facilities were also available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers were well-qualified and knowledgeable, they had lots of experience. They were more approachable towards practicals. Teaching was good. The course curriculum was related to the industry, it covered courses like programming languages, networking, and databases.

SRM is a massive, vibrant hub spread across 250 acres, with a high-energy, global campus.
Placements: Roles offered by top recruiting companies for B.Tech CSE at SRM included Software Development Engineer, Data Analyst (DA), and Cloud Engineer. Major recruiters were Amazon, PayPal, Microsoft, Google, etc. As computing departments hosted the largest placement drives, top tech companies such as those mentioned above participated.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was well-maintained and modern. The massive central library consisted of a large stock of books. The quality of the food was good. The campus was like a self-sustained mini city sprawling over 250 acres, also consisting of specialized academic zones.
Faculty: Examinations followed a structured format driven by university's academic regulations. The academic evaluation operated on a split between internal assessment and the end-semester examination. CT class tests were worth 60% of the total grade, comprising multiple mid-semester tests, quizzes, assignments, and class participation.
Other: Major events and fests were Aarush and Milan, which consisted of students from various states across India and created a dynamic environment. Potheri Railway Station was located directly opposite the campus gate and was connected to Chennai Central Railway Station. The campus consisted of a large amount of greenery and well-maintained surroundings.

SRMIST-KTR is an extraordinary engineering college!
Placements: I got placed in Kylas. Likewise, most of my batchmates who passed out in 2026 were placed at different organisations. SRMIST is the main engineering college of the university and ensures that all the students who study here are provided the best training and placement opportunities. Besides placements, our college also helped me get internships, and one such was Technohacks Edutech Official.
Infrastructure: I don't have the count of the boys' hostels, as ours was at the SRM main campus in Chennai. There were N-number of hostels. The best thing was that I was from Mumbai and other students were also from other places, so they ensured that the mess served a variety of food items that catered to the palate of each student. Rest of the infrastructure needs a special mention, as from the auditorium to the sports grounds, everything was lit up for students to go and have a ball.
Faculty: Even the spineless students were handled so well by our faculty members that it was so heartwarming to see. Our course taught us various traits that are needed in real life, like advanced AI, building cybersecurity systems, and app development. So, at SRMIST, all the traits of CSE were taught exactly as per industrial demand.
Other: If one wants to witness unity in diversity, I think they should visit SRMIST once in their lifetime.

SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Kattankulathur, has the most dynamic faculty members.
Placements: Dozens of MNCs visit SRM, and I guess that is quite impressive. The highest package at our campus has a 1 CPA mark too. That is why, among various private engineering colleges, ours is considered among the top. I am passing out this year, and over 75% of CSE students are placed from campus.
Infrastructure: Hostels are perhaps the best option for outsiders. Hostels are plenty here, with plenty of options to choose from. The dining halls of the hostels are clean as a whistle, and every hostel has a separate engaging room. In that room, there are games and TV facilities too. Our campus is also huge and has facilities that most can't even imagine. From food courts to medical and sports facilities, the infrastructure is just fantastic here.
Faculty: SRM KTR faculty members are definitely among the best, even among other SRM campuses. Every faculty member I have interacted with during all 4 years has done research in something or the other. From Cyber Security to Data Science to AI, our faculty members who teach all these important CSE subjects are masters.
Other: CSE, even with so much competition, is the best course available right now. With greenery everywhere on campus and lush green gardens, I find our campus the most peaceful.

Placements: The placement cell guarantees 100% placements, but I have seen some placements go as low as 4 LPA. So, the advertised placement rates are misleading. They have mock placement rounds, but those are not very helpful. Alumni talks happen regularly, and that is what actually helps in understanding the placement scenario.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well maintained but are not well designed. Some areas are not covered by fans or ACs. Hostels are well maintained. Cleaning staff comes daily for room cleaning. Mess food is a bit bad. Mess itself is a bit unhygienic. Wi-Fi is unreliable. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't work. Sports facilities are available, but are mostly crowded.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and help a lot. If anyone has 75%+ attendance, then it is very easy for them to get an 8.5+ CGPA. Semester exams are medium level. They test critical thinking instead of formulas. Teachers teach so we can learn and not just for the exams.
Other: Many events happen here on a weekly basis. This makes campus life more enriching.
