To start your career in travel and tourism industry, you have to do some certificate or degree course like BBA in hospitality, travel and tourism. TO be eligible for that you need to have these qulaifications: Class 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks. You could also opt for a diploma,
For Diploma –Class 10th pass from a recognized board with minimum 40% marks. I would suggest you to go for Bachelors ddegree rather than diploma like BBA in hospitality travel and tourism. There are many good college like UTM, YMCA, NITHM ,Surajmal these are good colleges for pursuing this course. UTM has fared better last year in terms of placements.

In some cases one needs to have some qualification to be able to fulfill one' job responsibilities and increase chances of selection such as:
-Reservation Agent-needs qualification with knowledge of software
-Chef- needs qualification with knowledge of various kitchen procedures & cooking method etc

A very wide industry, it includes Government tourism departments, Immigration and customs services, travel agencies, airlines, tour operators, hotels etc and many associated service industries such as airline catering or laundry services, Guides, Interpreters, Tourism promotion and sales etc. Travel and Tourism enterprises include major internationals with a workforce of thousands, to the small private travel agent with a handful of employees. TO fare well in this industry you can pursue BBA in Travel, tourism and hospitality , look for good colleges like UTM, NITHM ,Surajmal these are good colleges. Placement wise UTM had done pretty good in the last placement. All the best.
