Hello Vaibhav,
Nowadays many people take a break and prepare for IIT's so there is no drawback in dropping, so it is recommended first you go for B.Tech from good colleges rather than thinking of GATE.

Chances are less at this score. You can apply for IIT-Roorkee, IIT-KGP, IIT-Madras, IIT-Kanpur. IIT-B/D have a higher cut-off, unless you have a good work/academic profile.

Experienced Campus Representative.,

As far as I know, there are no lateral admissions in any of the three BITS campuses. Haven't come across any such case as yet. The only way to get into BITS for undergraduate degrees is through BITSAT or being a board topper and join as a fresher.
I believe there are some other criteria for admission to M.Sc. (Tech) courses for Pilani residents (don't really know about that), but that's probably not applicable to most people and neither is it for lateral entry.

You have to give entrance exam for the college you want admission. You first list the college you want admission and then apply for admission. It's a normal admission procedure. Good luck.
