IIT Bombay is the best. IIT-Bombay is owned by the central government but VJTI is owned by the state government, government of Maharashtra. For IIT Bombay, one has to stay in their hostel and study. That is compulsory. But for VJTI, you can be a day student. Other than this, both are the best institutions.

<p>No, if you do not belong to the reserved categories. For this category, students should have scored at least 60% marks in class 12.</p><p>For the unreserved categories, it is 75% minimum marks for admission to the IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. Students should only apply for the JoSAA counselling process if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. </p>
