Old, simple and helping nature,

IIT Bombay is the best. IIT-Bombay is owned by the central government but VJTI is owned by the state government, government of Maharashtra. For IIT Bombay, one has to stay in their hostel and study. That is compulsory. But for VJTI, you can be a day student. Other than this, both are the best institutions.

<p>No, if you do not belong to the reserved categories. For this category, students should have scored at least 60% marks in class 12.</p><p>For the unreserved categories, it is 75% minimum marks for admission to the IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. Students should only apply for the JoSAA counselling process if they fulfil the eligibility criteria.&nbsp;</p>

<p dir="ltr">The Joint Admission Process of UCEED 2026 will have five regular seat allotment rounds.</p><p dir="ltr">Also, any updates on SPOT round may only be notified by IIT Bombay at the end of the 5th round of seat allotment. Note that the SPOT round will be held only if there are vacant seats left after the complexion of the five regular rounds.</p><p dir="ltr">The allotment of seats during SPOT round will be allocated as per the merit rank of the candidate. Non-core companies are really not concerned about your branch, except if it is computer science. They just look for soft skills, programming, aptitude and logical reasoning abilities which you can develop in any branch.
Coming to jobs in aerospace especially for B.Tech, the scenario is not that good.

IIT Bombay is old IIT and placement of B.Sc Chemistry is very good. You will get good package in big companies, if you have good knowledge about concepts. There are many big companies came in IITs for recruitment. So, if you perform well in interview then you will get definitely good salary package.

You cannot study free of cost at IITs even if you secure an all India rank of 10 or so.
You can get some fee concessions, tuition fee waivers, mess fee waivers, etc.
