Your salary will be determined by your grades and employability. Always remember that an institute will never guarantee a job. IIT and IISC are India's most reputed and offers campus placements. A degree from them has value over the world. Universities overseas don't provide placements, what they have is career service and networking with companies. In either case, you must crack the interview.University of Auckland is quite reputed however if you get through IIT you need not worry.

<p>Actually, both these courses are excellent. Both have good faculty, good infrastructure and also high market demand. Only point to make difference is placements. Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur have little much better placements than Electrical Engineering (Power and Automation) at IIT Delhi. Finally, I would suggest you Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur if you consider placements. </p>
<p>In 2024, the last round cutoff ranks for Mechanical Engineering was <strong>6596</strong>, for the General AI category candidates. The cutoff for Mechanical Engineering in 2023 and 2022 were <strong>6694</strong> and <strong>7083</strong>, respectively.
