1. Do they have an experienced faculty (Faculty must have expertise in theory and practical both).
2. Do they have Adequate/appropriate equipment to make you expert in handling them?

Current Student- DTU, Delhi,

Yes DTU provides B.Tech lateral entry program to Diploma holders.
There is some requirements of aggregate in Diploma which you can look at DTU website.
Also, DTU has not yet provided any link for B.Tech LEET exam.

At LPU, Admission in any programme depends on qualifying the Eligibility criteria for the same. As per the Eligibility criteria for B.Tech Mechanical Lateral Entry is to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. There is no difference between regular BCA and lateral entry BCA if the course is done from a recognised university or institute. Lateral entry BCA graduates can get jobs which a regular BCA graduate get. Indian IT industry does not prefer BCA for entry level developer and testers role. BCA graduates may get a junior developer or application support jobs. Yes, you are definitely eligible to pursue MS from US after completing B.Tech through lateral entry. The only thing that then matters is the B.Tech score and the eligible exams which are mandatory for the university you are applying for.

Yes, there is possibility of lateral entry in civil engineering. If you have done diploma from Maharashtra then perhaps you are eligible for Maharashtra quota else you are eligible under "All India Quota".
