After completion of your three years, Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering, you can get direct admission in second year of B.Tech course through lateral entry admission process. In Pune engineering colleges, the lateral entry admissions in B.Tech course are offered through Centralised Admission Process (CAP) which is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. So, you need to register and participate in CAP rounds to get lateral admission in Pune engineering course for pursuing B.Tech course.

Eligibility Criteria:
BE Chemical Engineering / B.Tech Food Technology / Biotechnology / Biochemical Engineering / Agricultural Engineering.
Admission Guidelines:
Selection of the candidates to various disciplines of ME and M.Tech programmes will be done on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and interview. Both are conducted by the university.

Dear Anirban,
No it's not hard, it's simple. Although, the syllabus is wide but not so typical if you have studied diploma engineering seriously then it will be easy to crack as normal basic questions come from electric, mechanical, computer science and electronics engineering.

Institute of Engineering and Management does not have Civil Engineering. However, it does have Mechanical Engineering branch where placement is good.

Hello,
Yes, you will get admission for Aeronautical engineering after completing Diploma in Mechanical engineering
But, I would suggest you to go through the same you are thinking because there will no be huge scope mechanical engineering in near future and you should go in an aeronautical field.

<p>No, B.Ed courses cannot bedone right after clearing Class 12 board exams. The qualifications for a legitimate B.Ed course requires candidates to clear another UG or PG level course first. Once completed, then candidates can appear for the B.Ed entrance exams at various institutes to pursue a career as a teacher.</p>

Your JEE score is impressive, however, you just fall short in your board score by 3%. (Assuming that you are from open category). If you are from reserved category then you will get what you asked for.

Eligibility criteria for 2 years lateral entry admission in MCA program in most of Universities is as follows:
"Candidates should be pass in a recognised Bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in BCA, B.Sc. (Information Technology / Computer Science) with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or at Graduate level and obtained atleast 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examinations".
You are not eligible to seek admission in MCA lateral entry based on your educational qualification. You are advised to do MCA of 3 years duration.

Eligibility for lateral entry into mechanical engineering will depend on what was your branch for Diploma. Of course, you can get a particular college if you have scored very good marks.
