Hello dear,
I think it is not mandatory that you must join the hostel. The total hostel fees for a year is between 80k to 1 lac. But it depends upon your choice.
After getting admission in this college, ask for all details like placements and also talk with the senior students of colleges what are their experience in that college.
Then take admission in that college.
Hope this will help you.
Best of luck for choosing the right college.

Candidates who are put on the wait list of BITSAT will have their chance of admissions into the BE courses offered by the BITS campuses. However, the admissions will only be possible when a candidate from the admit list does not complete their admission process or withdraws their seat. In case of any withdrawal, the preference will be given to candidates as per their rank on the waitlist. The authorities may also add more counselling rounds to increase the chances of the wait list candidates to secure admissions.
