The college has a collection of reference books, textbooks on varied subjects like Electrical Engineering, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Materials Science, Economics, Computer Science, Linguistics, and others. At that time, you just focus on your 10th board and after clearing your board just focus on NCERT books. You can choose some other books if you want to for IIT but the main focus should be on the NCERTs.

There are some coaching that offer free IIT preparation by conducting some exam for their coaching institutes. By giving those exams, you can get admission in those institute that will lead you to free coaching.

As far as I know, you cannot change the college during your last year of graduation. So, you can complete your course and then write the entrance exams to get admission in the other colleges for post graduate courses.

The latest cutoff information for Master of Urban and Rural Planning (MURP) at IIT Roorkee has not been released yet for 2023. However the cutoff for 2022 was General: 60, OBC: 54, SC: 40 ST: 40.
