Admission in IITs and NITs is only after appearing in Joint Entrance Examinations JEE conducted by IITs. You have to crack JEE Advanced for IITs and JEE Mains for NITs. There is no other exam to seek admission in these institutions for graduation degree in engineering.

Hello Ajay,
Tourism has excellent scope. Anything can stop by the time of machine but not tourism. In India, it is the only booming sector that is going to be huge. IITTM has its own brand name outside when you go out of the college. Placements are pretty good enough. More than 90% students are placed every year. Average salary is calculated upto 1.5 lakhs (as per 2018).

Current Student- IIT, Mandi,

First of all congratulations! I will recommend you to go with CSE from IIT Mandi, but in that case only if you have a keen interest in computer science and engineering. Placement wise it's very good also you will get very good exposure. IIT Mandi has very good semester exchange program too, you have a very good option there to go abroad and explore further. Else if you wish to go with core opt for the other options which are left.

Okay Priyanshu, I can understand your situation you have two options:-
1. In my view, it is better to improve your class 12th percentage, if your results are good enough. If you are confident to improve your marks, you can drop a year.
2. Other option, is you can take proper guidance for both the exams, like studying for JEE, covers also the portion of class 12th.

I'm sorry, but IIT Kanpur does not offer a B.Ed. Programme. While IIT Kanpur offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs, it does not offer any programme in education. You may want to check with other universities or colleges in the area that offer B.Ed. Programs.

Computer Engineer,

Yes, definitely, everyone can do study from IIT but its tuition fee is high about 1.17 lacs per semester. Overall, the tuition fee for a year will be approximately 2.35 lac rupees. But there may be a concession of 70% tuition fee if your family income is less than 4.5 lacs. So, it's good for you dear.
Hope this helps you.
Thank you.

Bibliophile,

Dropping a year after your class 12th for JEE preparation is a big step.
Results completely depend on the choices and steps taken by you during preparation.
It doesn't affect at all in any way for future whether you crack JEE or not.

You have good marks in JEE. You can get government colleges of your state it's better to try once in the state-level counselling. Taking drop is not a good option because to get NIT, you must have 75 percentage in 12th so if you take a drop, then also you will not get any NIT software scoring good marks so if you take a drop, you should also try for improvement in board exam, then it will be beneficial.
