Failure for me is just by-chance...,

You first have to clear JEE Mains exam and then only, if qualified in mains, you'll be able to give JEE Advanced exam. In this exam, you have to be in top 600 AIR to book your seat in IIT.
Refer good books, be regular in studies and most important, don't give a damn what others think.
All the best.

Hello Utkarsh,
IIT-JEE preparation is irrelevant of which coaching classes you attend. At the end, your efforts matter the most. There can be no comparison between coaching classes, all of them help you improve your score. You have to solve practice questions as many as you can, learn more and more concetps and keep revising the topics you find difficult. Again, it is not difficult to crack IIT-JEE, it just requires planned efforts. All the best for your preparation.

Since your JEE Mains and JEE Advanced ranks are good enough to get a seat in one of the IITs. You have a high chance of getting into these IITs like IIT Roorkee, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, and so on. It is important to note that the cutoffs for different IITs vary every year, so it is difficult to say which IIT you will get into with your current ranks.

Admission to all IIT Bhilai courses is done through various national-level entrance exams. The institute offers a wide range of programmes to students at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. Some of the popular national-level entrance exams accepted by the institute are JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, UGC, NET, etc. Hence, it is a bit difficult to get a seat for BTech at IIT Bhilai. However, with the right preparation and study strategy, it is never impossible to achieve the goal.

keen learner,

Hi Pallavi,
No, you are not eligible for IITs.
You should have passed Class 12th Board Exams with minimum 75% marks. For SC, ST, PwD minimum 65%. But, you can try JEE Mains for NITs, IIITs and some good colleges in India. Best of Luck.

JEE exam has two language options English and Hindi, so you will also have Hindi paper for JEE but would recommend you to start learning English because none of the institutes teaches in Hindi.

Hello Shekhar
Don't worry, it is good that you have found your interest and if you don't have an interest in IIT then no problem. Next year, at the time of admission, you should try to take admission in a design course.

Hello Anam,
JEE Mains cut-off will be announced simultaneously with results. So, you have to wait till then. Last year's cut-off was 100 marks for general category students. It could be similar this year too.
However, if you were seeking information about how much to score in JEE Advanced for admission in IIT then answer will be different.
For IIT-K, you need to be in 90 percentile bracket to get admission
Best wishes.

Hello Afzal,
If you want to improve your marks, you have to attempt all the papers. If you give one or two papers, it will be not considered by the JEE and your previous year marks will be taken into consideration.

Hi,
You can take a coaching in an IIT class but you are not eligible to get admission in NITs and IITs as you have only 60% in boards. You should have at least 75% in your board exams to get admission in an NIT or IIT.

To get into IITs only JEE exams should be cleared and if you are qualified you should appear for JEE Advanced and get a good score to get into premier IITs.
There is no need to apply for any other entrances to get into an IIT.

Hi Bhaskar,
Only students who have qualified the JEE Mains are allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. If a student wants to join B.Arch in IIT Kahargpur and IIT Roorkee, he/she has to first clear JEE Mains Parer 1 (not Paper 2 ; Paper 2 is only for admission to B.Arch in NITs and Spans). Also, Only those candidates who would have given B.Arch programme (available at IIT Kharagpur and IIT Roorkee) as one of their choices while filling their choices will be eligible to take the Architecture Aptitude Test.

Hello SSD, this question keeps cropping up again and again in different forums and even in the courts of law. However at least till now all the challenges to this rule of 75% in board has with held and continuous to rule the roost. This rule is in vogue for many years now and it was relaxed only during the covid times when normal schooling was disrupted due to the pandemic. There are many cases when students have scored quite handsomely in JEE Mains but they have failed to secure 75% marks in there 12 board and as a result they were unable to compete in JEE Advanced examination. In one of the extreme cases which has come into the LimeLight... View more
