Well, dear 17,000 is a sound score, you have good chances of getting admission through this rank. But that also depends upon the category you belong to, if you come under OBC/SC/ST, that means your category rank will be less than 17,000 then that increases your chances getting your required chance. But also the cutoff's keep changing every year so nothing can be guaranteed.

The National Institute of Design (NID) in its admission handbook has clearly mentioned that it will not release any question papers nor answer keys for the NID DAT exam. The institute has mentioned in the handbook that the Prelims and Mains question papers are highly subjective, and so don't have any model answers.
