At GIBS Business School, GD and PI are just ways to understand you better — not just your marks.

In GD, they see how you talk in a group.
Are you confident?
Do you share good points?
Can you listen to others?

You don't have to dominate — just speak clearly and show positive attitude.

In PI, it's a simple one-to-one conversation. They ask about your background, goals, and why you want to join. They just want to see if you are genuine, confident, and serious about your career.

In very simple words —
GD checks how you behave in a team.
PI checks who you are as a person.

That's it. It's more about confidence and clarity than being perfect.

The applicant must avoid grammatical mistakes, incoherent language, exceeding the specified word limit, and not answering the question properly. You should also avoid repetitive information and copying from the internet, in your admission essays.

The word limit is specified by the university along with the question/ prompt. The word limit can be anywhere between 100-1000 words, depending on the university. The candidates must strictly adhere to the word limit specified.

Most universities require the applicants to write essays on the prompts that they provide. Admission essays help the Ad Com to learn about the personality and other qualities of the candidate that are not reflected anywhere else in the application.

Using is the correct grammar is paramount for admission essays. Spelling mistakes, wrong tenses, and other grammatical errors will show that you do not have a good command over the English language, which is the medium of instruction in universities abroad. Correct grammar also reflects your professionalism, seriousness, and credibility as an applicant. Thus, to make a good impression on the Ad Com, you must be extra careful about writing a grammatically correct essay.
