The institute accepts TNEA counselling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu, the TNEA 2024 cutoff has been released up to Round 3 for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories. TANCET Counselling 2024 was concluded with the SCA to SC conversion counselling. The TANCET 2025 dates for the next academic session are yet to be released.
As per the Last Round closing ranks, B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was the most sought-after course to secure a seat at PR Engineering College (PREC, Thanjavur) with a closing cutoff of 155082 for the General AI quota.
