There are certain ways to join Air Force depending on your qualification. For 12th passed students, NDA and TES entries are open for Airforce. The last time an Indian became an astronaut, he was test pilot from IAF. This time too, for Gaganyan, it is expected that test pilots if IAF would be selected by ISRO to become astronauts to be launched from Indian soil.
