Hello, it all depends on the state you belong to. If you are from Tamil Nadu then joining any branch of engineering at MIT is very simple. Just fill up counseling form online of TNEA. Admissions are based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Best wishes to you.

In B.Tech, you have to study all the engineering subjects, But if you opt for B.Tech Hons. Then you have to study only one of the engineering subjects in more depth. So, in B.Tech you have to study all the subjects given by colleges. But in B.Tech Hons. You have to study only one subjects which you like the most and you get specialisation only in one subjects. So, according to my opinion, B.Tech Hons. Is the best option, In nowadays there is a very great demand for Hons. Degree. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. LPU is good for a B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering. If you opt for the course, you will get to learn in one of the best academic environments in the university. The four year course consists of 8 semesters and is a relatively unexplored field of engineering.
