Most of IIT Powai Aerospace Engineering graduates work abroad in top Aeronautical Engineering firms. Those who stay in India have opportunities in DRDO, ISRO and other R&D units beside working in Aeronautical manufacturing companies and their ancillaries. Some of the graduates also opt for job in Indian Air Force, Airlines as maintenance engineer, IT companies as engineering software specialist. Few students opt for higher studies and take academics as career.

BCA is a basic graduation qualification for starting a career in IT industry. With BCA, you can only get lower end entry level jobs in IT industry. In order to get a meaningful job, you will have to do MCA. Thus you will take 6-years education period before you get a good job. Whereas, B.Tech in aeronautical engineering is engineering degree with good opportunities. It is superior qualification over BCA. If you have both the options, I will recommend you to opt for B.Tech aeronautical engineering over BCA.
