Yes, SRM Madurai is under Anna University, Merit-based admissions are used in SRM Madurai College for Engineering & Technology. The college provides eight programmes in engineering at the UG and PG levels in collaboration with Anna University.

The faculty of Anna University is good and highly qualified. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. As per verified student reviews on Shiksha.com, Anna University faculty has been rated 4 out of 5 stars. According to students in review section, the faculty is said to be very generous, fun loving and problem solving in nature. Students are of the view that they solve their doubts and queries instantaneously. Although, some students mentioned that a few faculty members are rude but knowledgeable.

Anna University College of Engineering campus provides hostel facilities. The CEG Hostels comprise 22 blocks (located at the CEG Campus), out of which boys are accommodated in 14 blocks. The total tuition fee for the BTech CSE course is INR 2 lakh. The BTech CSE course is offered by JNN Institute of Engineering. Anna University BTech admission is based on candidates' performance in the TNEA entrance exam, followed by a counselling round. Candidates must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria to be able to apply for the BTech course. The criteria is that the candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with PCM with an aggregate of 45% (40% for SC/ ST candidates).
