There are plenty of colleges offering biomedical engineering in Tamil Nadu under Anna University. Tamil Nadu has almost third largest intake of engineering colleges in whole of India. You have indeed scored very handsomely in your 12th examination. If one looks at only these marks then I am sure you will definitely get admission in one of the engineering colleges in Tamilnadu Through Anna University. However there are some other criterias for admissions also. Unfortunately, Anna University is not saying anything on the subject. However, one need not panic. Admissions to engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are based on the marks obtained in 12th and not on any entrance test. Hence the admission process can very well begin after 12th results are published in the state. I am sure Anna University must have prepared all the required forms etc. To make the new link operational. I would like to advise you that please show a little patience. That's all.

You have to do hard work to pass the external exam. Although you have scored low marks in internal, it will not affect too much when you will get good marks in the external exam.

If you have completed Diploma in any branch, then you have to apply for lateral entry counseling in Anna University. Only few places are available per branch. If you get good percentage, then it will very easy to join any college of your choice. Anna university will conduct lateral entry counselling after conducting regular students admission, so you might probably join one and half month later than, the regular class for second year had completed.
