Hi Pradyumn,
Yes, you can pursue astrophysics but what about the medicine knowledge you have collected in MBBS. It's all about your passion, I know a lot of doctors who went into other fields like civil services, management, research, acting and so on. If astrophysics is your passion, go for it.

Hello,
As we see nowadays, astrophysics is hollering too much, due to its expansion and Mars project (thanks to Elon Musk) students find too much curiosity in this astrophysics field. Sorry, M.Sc after MBBS is not at all possible as, astrophysics has vast amount of maths + applied physics, for which a strong base is required + a lot of practice is required to develop numerical area of the brain.
Alternative: Is there any alternative, yes? Keep doing your job in MBBS+do your B.Sc in physics from IGNOU (distance course). IGNOU is the only university that provides distance B.Sc.

Hello,
You have asked a very interesting question.
1:- Astrophysics have an immense scope in foreign countries, also it has scope in India too. With the help of astrophysics you will have to work with many equations.
2:- quantum physics: - you have to work with atomic particles applying quantum laws again have same scope as astrophysics.
3:- particle physics - you will get opportunity to work at CERN, if you study particle physics you will get to work in positions like professors, at nuclear plants etc. Good luck.
