The eligibility is completing B.Tech or BE in mechanical engineering or automotive with atleast 75%. You must also take the IELTS or TOEFL. Some competitive universities also require the GRE.

Yes there are a lot of colleges offering B.Des/M.Des in transportation design. Some of the top colleges include:
1. MID Institute of Design
2. Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay
3. National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad
4. Department of Design, IIT Guwahati
5. Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi
These institutes conduct entrance exams in two stages, General ability test and Creative Ability test. The admissions are purely based on your score secured in the entrance exam.

Both the branches are good, but let me tell you that Computer Science is considered as a field where you get more chances of high paying jobs both in India and abroad too. This field is full of opportunities. If you are willing enough to excel yourself in computer engineering you should go for this rather. It is very broad in terms of job options. Regards.
