There is large number of automobile companies. You can get job in any of these. Then there are government agencies too who are on the lookout for automobile engineering students. In addition, you can pursue MBA or think of cracking civil services exam. Or better still, start your own company dealing in automobiles or their components.

Consider Diploma in mechanical or automobile offering from your state Diploma board in ccc (correspondence cum contact) mode.
SBTET- Andhra Pradesh offers the same. (consider it, when you come India permanently)

Well, it depends on you. What your interest says because both of these branches offer you a better life. I will prefer automobile engineering because it gives you a chance of designing, manufacturing, etc.

Automotive is a part of automobile as take an example like brake disk is a part of brake department in any vehicle or can say that automotives are related to parts of any vehicle but automobile is itself a combination of these automotive.

If you want to automobile Design, you should go for NID; National Institute of Designing. it's the best college for designing in India and comes under top 50 colleges of design all over world.

Or, you can apply for NID or MIT, and also for automobile design.

India is a country where you can find many colleges with mechanical at top of all the engineering trades. Go for DTU, AMU, BHU, MNNIT, etc.
Going Germany is ultimate choice if you have enough bucks to invest and passion towards German language too. Iits are also there to opt from them. Regards.
