Dear Harsh,
I would suggest RMIT, Deakin & University of Wollongong, however, please do not take a course less than 2 years duration as it will not give you points for permanent residence later if you decide to apply for it.

Hey !Automobile is a very good stream to get admission as it will provide you a great career in top Automobile company which is a dream job of any mechanical Engineer but i would like to recommend you to select the university cautiously as inn this stream who along with technical skills who also need to boost your practical ideas .here are some of the colleges where you can get admission by availing high scholarship:

Since you haven't scored well in JEE mains so you will not get admission in Government institutes.Although there are private institutions that are doing equally good as them,you may get admission in them by scoring a good rank in their entrance examination and thereafter getting high scholarship.some of these universities are:

Dear Husbilmon, Ph.D admissions are a different league, you must excessively start contacting the universities, look if they have research openings, email the department supervisor and get in touch with them. For Automotives I will advice to research on universities in Germany, France, Spain, UK and USA. Enquire about funding and scholarships too, this is very essential.

Scope of jobs can always be created by innovating like we as a country launched the cheapest possible mission to mars. Automobile in india specifically relates to car while we have two wheelers, three wheelers, tractors, trucks etc. waiting to be innovated and there are rural agricultural tools too. You can decide if that interests you or not and would you be interested in joining the sector that can be revolutionized.

Hi, France is a pioneer in this sector. Overall Europe is a major hub for automotives. Germany is the leader in this sector. However drastic changes are taking place with regards to changes in economy. Go for mechanical engineering as it is a core stream and u can move to automobile industry anytime having a degree in mechanical engineering. U can also appear indian engineering service after graduating in mechanical stream to get a top notch government job. Apart from it, clearing Gate exam u can get job in several good companies/public sector. All the best. Get a good college. All the best dear. Thank you.
