if you want to Work in Automotive Designer. Better to go with Mechanical/ Automotive branch. in Few States Automotive Engineering are also been offered as a professional course but it has very limited scope. So better to Go with Mechanical and With that Concentrate more over design subjects and Automotive subjects.

There is no thumb rule here. Whatever your domain or area is make sure that you are able to demonstrate enough managerial skills in addition to the technical skills throughout your work tenure. Pick up an area which will give you the space to take initiatives, plan, lead a team and help you make significant and positive changes (to the team or the organization as a whole). MBA is about discussions, case studies and sharing knowledge and your real life challenges. Will you be able to contribute to the class basis your RnD job? It is preferable not mandatory. You can do B.Tech Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and then do PG specialisation in Automobile.
