BA courses can be pursued by all studnets who have completed their class 12th. Studnets from any stream can pursue a BA degree. Many colleges have a minimum eligibilty criteria of atleast 50% marks. However, most colleges offer admission through entrance exam scores of CUET, IPU CET and PUBDET. Colleges may offer admission based on combined merit and entrance exam scores. Students are advised to check the admission criteria of colleges they wish to apply to.

The merit-based scholarships for BA at KR Mangalam University are based on candidates' Class 12 examination marks. The scholarship percentage is determined by the Class 12 percentage, with 25% for 80% to less than 85%, 35% for 85% to less than 90%, and 100% for 90% and above. Eligibility for BA programs at Bharathiar University Distance Education requires candidates to have passed 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Applicants with 10th and a 3-year Diploma are also eligible. For those without formal 10+2 education, the open university system allows admission to candidates aged 18 years and above, provided they pass the university preliminary examination. There is no upper age limit for admission.

For CUET (Common University Entrance Test) and UGC NET eligibility to pursue a BA in Dance at Visva Bharati University:

  • CUET: The eligibility for BA programs usually requires completion of 10+2 education. Since you have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, you may need to check if it is considered equivalent to a higher secondary qualification for CUET eligibility.

  • UGC NET: UGC NET is for post-graduate admissions and research eligibility. For BA programs, UGC NET is not required, as it is intended for Master's degree holders.

Depending on the particular requirements of the course and college you might still be able to select different combinations under the BA programme if you are not eligible for Economics Honours since you did not take mathematics in your 12th grade. As long as the subject combination complies with CUET eligibility, many universities permit students to apply for DU in combinations like psychology with other disciplines like sociology or political science.
