Undergraduate candidates are required to have passed the 12th class or a similar exam from a recognised board such as CBSE, ICSE or a State Board to be eligible for a B.A. course at Osmania University. They should have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in 12th standard through proper channels. There is no dedicated entrance exam for the regular B.A. course. The selection is generally on the basis of merit. According to government norms, reservation benefits are there for the SC/ST/OBC categories. Students who wish to get admission to the BA (H) programme at Kerala University must qualify for the basic eligibility criteria. As per the criteria, students who have completed Class 12 examinations of the State or an equivalent examination are eligible to apply. However,   for admission to BA (H) English, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 70% aggregate (60% aggregate for SC candidates and 55% for ST candidates) in Class 12.

In order to be eligible for the BA course at JECRC University, candidates should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with at least a 50% aggregate in relevant subjects from a recognised board or an equivalent one. They must meet the eligibility criteria of the course to confirm their seats. In addition to this, preference is given to those applicants who possess a valid score in the CUET UG examination. For admission to MKU DDE BA courses, students must begin with an eligibility check. As per the official website, the eligibility criteria differ slightly for a few specialisations. Check below to know the course-wise eligibility criteria:

  • BA in History/Political Science/Economics/Journalism and Mass Communication/Public Administration/Sociology: Must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board or completed a three-year Diploma course
  • BA in English: Passed Class 12 from a recognised board
  • BA in Tamil: Completed Class 12 with Tamil as a subject

The primary eligibility criteria, which is required by the university to get admissions into BA courses, is that candidates must have completed their Class 12 from any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. For admissions to BA in English (Hons), candidates must have ensured that they have studied English as one of their subjects in Class 12 or equivalent. 

The admission process for admissions to the BA course is based on merit, which the university evaluates on the basis of candidates' achieved scores in their higher senior secondary.

To be eligible for Bachelor of Arts BA at Manipal Center for Philosophy & Humanities Bangalore students must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Although if results have not been declared provisional admission will be provided. Also there will be a selection process for admission which includes evaluation of educational qualification, a personal essay and an interview. To be eligible for admission for Bachelor of Arts at Manipal Center for European Studies MAHE candidates must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum 50% aggregate marks from an recognised board. 

Hence the admission is merit based you must have qualify entrance exam, the university also conducts an entrance exam of its own that is MET for admission to various undergraduate courses including Bachelor of Arts BA.
