It is one of the best universities in India for B.A. and LL.B. courses. For admission, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks in any subject and a clear CLAT, CBSE 12th, ISC, or RBSE 12th exam. The cut-off in year 202 was AIR 383, in 2022 it was 362, and in 2021 it was 356. The minimum fee for completing the course is INR 8.3 to 8.7 lakhs.

Yes, JBLC BA LLB (Hons) admission is entrance-based. Aspirants have to appear for the entrance exam conducted by the college for admission. Candidates further also have to go through an interview round for final selection.

There are no other branch, Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) is located in Shimla district Ghandal and was established in the year 2016, by the Himachal Pradesh Act of 2016. The university has now become a part of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) consortium.
