Hi RIya, there are many options for a humanities student like English Literature, political Science, History, Social Science, Education and Teaching, Journalism etc. Social Sciences and Education has good demand in Canada. What is best for you, you have to decide this, you must know your own capabilities and aptitude, take out time to know what you want and decide. You can see here for course options

I am afraid, Diploma in a technical subject will not make you eligible for admission in 2nd year. You will have to begin from first year itself.

It's really nice to know your desire of doing graduation in archeology. Yes, admission is based on marks obtained in 12th thus you must study hard to get good marks which only will get you admission.
