This is a personal choice, you have to know your aptitude, likes and dislikes, weigh in your options, if you have an aptitude for subjects in arts and humanities then go for the same.

1. Law of Torts by RK Bangia or in case you are comfortable reading a slightly complicated book go for Law of Torts by Ratanlal and Dhirajlal, commonly called R&D.
2. Law of Contracts- A commentary by Polluck and Mullah is advisable or a viable option could be Law of Contracts by Avtar Singh
3. Criminal Law I - PSA Pillai
For Legal English, you no book is prescribed, go with the course module (if your college provides one).
