- Skilled professionals can seek employment in government organisations such as city development, state and central public work, departments, municipalities, housing and urban development corporation.
- The most advantaged scope in the field of architecture is private practice. After gaining some experience in an organisation, the architects can set up their own company.
- Professionals in this career can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges.
- A skilled architect, to work as a consultant or to set up private practice, should register with The Council of Architecture before beginning their profession. The Council of Architecture constituted by the Government of India is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects.
- Individual architects or architectural practices can opt to specialize in one number of fields such as, hospital, housing or educational services.

-Consultant
-Building Valuer
-Technical Architects
-Construction Estimator
-Professor or Researcher

3) Salary:
Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organisation, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a brief idea,
- Junior architect in trainee level can expect income around Rs. 10000 - 12000 every month.
- Within a short span of time, the salary can go up to Rs.15000 - 20000 every month depending upon the experience and the work.
- In government sectors, the pay scale is not rewarding as the private sector.
- Architects practicing through their own organisations could earn a lot, and this could be from thousands to lakhs.
- Consultants charge is somewhere around 4 - 10 percent of the total cost of construction in case of apartments and multi storied buildings.
