Although many private colleges offers B.Des course based on Jee Main score but most of them consider exams like UCEED, CUET, NIFT Entrance as the first priority for entrance. Major IIT's consider the score of UCEED for admission in their universities. Delhi University asks for cuet score in relevant subjects for a B.Des course.

The IIT Hyderabad B.Des cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1. The cutoff was released for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. IIT Bombay offers admission to the BDes course on the basis of performance in the UCEED exam. The cutoff was released as opening and closing cutoff ranks. For the SC All India category candidates, the cutoff rank in the Round 1 was closed at 7. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff ranks were closed at 5. Therefore, the competition for the SC AI category candidates has shown a slight decline since the past 2 years.
