Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Hyderabad BDes course are required to appear for the UCEED 2023 exam, which is conducted by IIT Bombay. UCEED releases qualifying cut off in the form of mean deviation and standard deviation. Appearing in UCEED 2023 or being on the admission rank list does not guarantee admission to IIT Hyderabad BDes courses.

Candidates who have passed UCEED 2023 must apply separately to the UCEED participating institute for BDes admission. Apart from passing the UCEED exam, the candidates are required to fulfil the eligibility criteria, category certificates and other documents, as well as the UCEED score, to be verified by IIT Hyderabad.

The Round 2 cutoff for IIT Hyderabad BDes admission is 42 for the OBC AI quota and 19 and 11, respectively, for the SC AI and ST AI quota candidates. For the OBC AI category, the Round 1 UCEED cutoff 2025 was also 42. IIT Hyderabad’s BDes admission is done through the UCEED entrance exam, followed by a counselling process.

The IIT Hyderabad B.Des cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 1. The cutoff was released for different categories of students belonging to the AI quota. As per the first round cutoff, the closing rank for UCEED was 52 for the students belonging to the general category. Yes, with a cutoff of 36, you can get into IIT Hyderabad for B.Des admission in Round 2 of the UCEED Seat Allotment process. The Round 2 closing rank for B.Des was 36 for OBC category students, so a cutoff of 36 should be sufficient for admission.
