Alright, where do I start? Well I have been part of VIT for long now. VIT is really doing good in B.Des/B.Tech here and shapes your career in right direction. VIT gives you chance to grow as potential students and lateral as an entrepreneur or employee. Although VIT cannot match the salaries and packages of the IIT's or even some of the top tier NITs but can assure you that the placement cell here gets all the "high flying" companies to campus and you're assured a good job. Placements happen throughout the year and people get up to 3 high paying offers. This is one of the selling point for VIT, guaranteed job after four years.

It depends on the college from which you want to pursue. Like some colleges and institutions, consider 50% minimum percentage criteria. And, in some colleges, you must have completed 10+2 or equivalent exam in any stream.
